Western classical violinist
Mandy Wolman, violin, performs regularly with ensembles across the United States including Tempesta di Mare, Apollo’s Fire, Washington Cathedral Baroque Orchestra, Philadelphia Bach Collegium, Chamber Orchestra of New York, and the Philly Pops. She is a Graduate of Oberlin Conservatory and a recent Grammy winner with the recording of Zealot Canticles with the Crossing Choir. She enjoys Flamenco dancing and drawing in her free time.
Beverly Shin made her solo debut with the Houston Symphony at age 17 and has since appeared with numerous orchestras throughout the United States. As an active chamber musician, she has performed at Bargemusic, the Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum, The Cape Cod Chamber Music Festival, the Banff Centre for the Arts, and Yellow Barn, as well as at festivals in Brazil, Taiwan, and Newfoundland. She has collaborated with such artists as Anton Kuerti, the late Ruth Laredo, and members of the Vermeer, Borromeo, Chicago, Kronos, Avalon, and Lark Quartets. She is currently a member of the Chamber Orchestra of Philadelphia and the IRIS Orchestra in Memphis, TN, and is a frequent guest performer with the River Oaks Chamber Orchestra in Houston, TX. An avid proponent of music by living composers, she has also performed frequently with Boston Musica Viva, the Harvard Group for New Music, Boston's Callithumpian Consort, and the Penn Composers' Guild.
