Cheryl Pyle

Jazz Flute

The versatile flutist Cheryl Pyle received her BA in music from the University of California at Berkeley, and Associates Degree from Mesa College Since moving to New York in the fall of 1980, she has been heard in a variety of settings and appeared at many jazz clubs and recently at Scholes St Studio, Merchant's House Museum Garden, Downtown Music Gallery, 6BC Botanical Garden and EV Gallery. Ms Pyle has performed and recorded with many great jazz musicians and continues to play concerts in the New York City area. She recorded her first quartet CD in 1997-DALLE ALLE on her label, 11th street music. Her jazz groups include Beyond Flute Group and Musique Libre Femmes, the all woman free jazz group.
