Radhika Joshi Ray is an Indian classical vocalist of the Jaipur Atrauli Gharana. She is a disciple of Pt. Raghunandan Panshikar, a senior student of Gaansaraswati Smt. Kishori Amonkar. She has also studied semi-classical music under Padmavibhushan Smt. Girija Devi ji at the Sangeet Research Academy in Kolkata. Radhika is a versatile singer and is one of the few vocalists to have been conferred a grade by the All India Radio in both classical as well as light-classical (Thumri, Dadra, Kajri, Hori, etc) music.
In addition to her pursuits as a performing artist she is a dedicated teacher and researcher of Indian music. Her passion for introducing classical music to the next generation led her to writing her own book titled 'Phulwari Geeton Ki'. She is also the founder of Jaipur Gunijankhana, an archive that strives to document the music of the Jaipur Atrauli Gharana.
Radhika holds a PhD in Economics from the Indian Institute of Management, Bangalore and a masters in Economics from Tufts University, Boston but has now decided to pursue a full-time career in music.
