Shuchita Rao is a Boston based Hindustani vocalist and music educator who learned the fundamentals of Hindustani classical music from the renowned musicians Dr. N.K. Karhade & Vidushi Smt. Malini Rajurkar. She furthered her training from music maestros visiting the U.S such as Gundecha Brothers, Pandit Ajay Pohankar, Pandit Vinayak Torvi, Pandit Ujjal Banerjee & Pandit Hemant Pendse. Shuchita holds Masters degrees in Computer Applications & Musicology. She freelances on Art, Music and Culture for ethnic magazines such as Sruti, Lokvani, India New England and Khabar. She has published three music CDs and an educational resource booklet for music students titled “Dhrupad Maalika“. She is the founder & artistic director of RASA Music School & faculty at Learn Quest Academy of Music.
