Yahya Ranaei

Yahya Ranaei collected over 90 songs and melodies which are related to music from about 200 - 1,300 years ago. Currently he is trying to record these pieces with his family. Tanbour, a beautiful and ancient stringed instrument originally from Iran, is found across Central Asia. Yahya, with the Ranaei family ensemble, hopes to bring the sound of the Tanbour and his advanced technique to the world.
